 teams of riders race bareback around the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede
  track\, vaulting from one horse to the next every lap in rapid exchanges t
 hat showcase strength\, balance\, and trust between athlete and animal. The
  event is organized in collaboration with Travel Alberta and Indigenous lea
 ders and experts to ensure the essence of Indian Relay Racing is respected 
 and preserved. A celebration of North American Indigenous culture\, it runs
  alongside an Indigenous artisan market and is sure to keep you on the edge
  of your seat from start to finish. Saturday's races start at 6 p.m. at the
